Eight people have been injured and two are hospitalized after a car has crashed into a wall at Amsterdam Central Station, according to the Amsterdam police while onlookers claim that the driver crashed into the crowd; the driver has been arrested.

In subsequent tweets the Police also said that the driver was parked in a place where he wasn’t permitted to stop and drove off when approached by police on Saturday and ran into a wall.
John Berg, a witness of the incident, says he “witnessed a car crash into a crowd by Amsterdam central station. Appalling!”

Reminisce that these things can also result from drivers having heart attacks, strokes, seizures, etc. A friend of mine had a gas pedal linkage failure and the brakes weren’t enough to stop the car from spinning out over a sidewalk into a storefront. These things do happen.
