Turbo charged Nissan Patrol sets fresh 206.9 mph world record in Qatar
A fire-breathing Nissan Patrol has smashed world records, going so prompt its doors flew off!
NEVER before has an SUV travelled so rapidly.
A fresh record was set recently in Qatar, with a supercharged Nissan Patrol Four×Four topping out at a sweeping 206.9 mph (333.82 km/h) to become the fastest SUV across the half-mile in the world.
However, this is no regular Patrol.
Constructed by haul racing specialists AAP Spectacle, the Nissan’s regular six-cylinder engine was substituted with a twin-turbo engine with an estimated two thousand horsepower.
While the car is still essentially a Nissan Patrol at heart, it has been stripped back and modified in almost every way possible.

The front grill has been substituted with a carbon fibre cover and the headlights eliminated, while the interior has been stripped back to the bones, with just a racing seat and roll cell added.
The only thing that has remained relatively stock is the vehicle’s height.
All the customising worked, with the vehicle managing to not only break the record, but travel so prompt that it blew its own side passenger door off.
