Clear

Partly to mostly sunny. Windy and cool.

AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION:

A Dry Week with Cool Temperatures Rebounding for the Weekend: A chilly air mass will proceed to predominate our weather for the early week. Morning low temperatures on Wednesday will dip into the mid 30s with some PATCHY FROST a possibility in our northern-most counties. After a cool Wednesday, temperatures will rebound into the seventy five to eighty five range for most through early next week. The next chance of rain shows up to hold off until late Sunday night into Monday morning.

TONIGHT: Clear skies develop for most of the area be the end of the day, and the wind will decrease after sunset as well. This will set the stage for some mighty chilly overnight temperatures. Lows will dip into the mid 30s, possibly even low 30s in our far northern counties. Particularly northwest Minnesota through Cavalier county, where soil conditions are the driest as of late.

WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY: Expect the cool temperatures to stay into Wednesday with sunny skies. Highs Wednesday will be in the lower 70s west and the mid-60s east. Much of western and central Minnesota may proceed to battle a north wind and periods of passing clouds. Conditions will in eastern North Dakota will be mostly sunny with very light and variable winds, so expect milder conditions to comeback here very first. By Thursday, expect seasonable temperatures in eastern North Dakota, near 80, with highs in western Minnesota in the low to mid 70s.

FRIDAY & SATURDAY: Sunny skies for most with a bit of a cool down in eastern North Dakota. Friday will bring temperatures in the upper 60s to upper 70s, with the coolest areas in north central Minnesota. Saturday, expect sunny skies for all areas with many areas in the low 80s as wind comebacks to a southerly direction.

SUNDAY & MONDAY:: HOT temperatures in many areas on Sunday with gusty south winds driving temperatures into the mid 80s for the Crimson Sea to the west and be in the upper 70s to low 80s east. Expect enhancing clouds from the west late Sunday and on into Monday. There will be a slight chance for a few showers or storms, and highs on Monday will cool into the seventy to eighty range north to south.

TUESDAY: A bit cooler, but most areas will remain at or just above seasonal averages. Sunny skies for most areas with highs in the low to mid 70s in western Minnesota to the low 80s in eastern North Dakota.
